Brad Gebhard has more than twenty years of experience in the athletic footwear, lifestyle and apparel industry. He was formerly the President of Global Wholesale at American Apparel, a post he started in January of 2015.
Brad Gebhard is a seasoned outdoor product veteran. Before joining coming to American Apparel he was the CEO at Hi-Tec Sports USA and at Magnum, the maker of tactical, uniform and occupational footwear. At Hi-Tec he is credited with developing the turnaround strategy that kept the firm from going bankrupt. He secured financing with banks, while significantly reducing the company’s operational expenses. He successfully restructured the company’s sales organization, getting it to focus on key accounts and drive brand awareness. He also restructured its retail division and realigned resources.
Prior to that he was the Senior Vice President of Speedo USA and Calvin Klein Swim, a post he held from 2007 through 2011. During his tenure, he was responsible for Speedo’s Beijing and London Olympics product lines and managed the Calvin Klein swim business and the Speedo e-commerce and licensing businesses. He successfully grew the diverse business in a broad retail base.

Brad Gebhard grew up in Oregon with a love of outdoor sports. He attended the University of Oregon and graduated with a degree in International Management and Finance in 1990.
